Domain Migration Guide

What happens when we move your domain?

Sometimes, transferring a domain or changing hosts can cause short interruptions to your website or email. This is normal and temporary - we handle the technical side to get everything back online as quickly as possible.

Step 1: Before migration

  • We review your current setup (website, email, DNS records).
  • We make a plan so your services stay as smooth as possible.

Step 2: During migration

  • Your domain is transferred to the new provider.
  • Website and email may briefly go offline while records update.
  • We add the correct settings for your website and email provider.

Step 3: After migration

  • Website is restored at the new host.
  • Email routing is reconnected (Google Workspace, Microsoft, etc.).
  • Security records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) are added for better deliverability.

Step 4: Verification

  • We test your website and email to confirm everything works.
  • We monitor DNS propagation (usually a few hours, sometimes up to 24).

Step 5: Ongoing support

  • We document your final setup for future reference.
  • If issues arise, we troubleshoot and resolve them quickly.

✅ What you can expect

  • Minimal downtime (usually just a few hours).
  • Clear communication if anything needs your attention.
  • Peace of mind knowing your website and email are restored and secured.
